Solvent-based screen printing ink

For decorating single- or multilayer plastic cards

Designed to meet the performance and compatibility requirements of industrial processes, this solvent-based, two-component ink can be screen-printed on a variety of plastic cards, including loyalty, bank, telephone, club and transport cards. It offers excellent printability, versatility in post-print processing, and compatibility with the most technical finishes (lamination, embossing, UV or offset overprinting).

Features
  • System:
Two-component, solvent-based ink, requiring the addition of a hardener to activate polymerization. This structure offers high chemical and mechanical resistance once the ink is cross-linked.

  • Drying:
Drying takes place in two stages:

    • By evaporation of solvents, generally in hot-air drying tunnels.

    • By chemical polymerization, thanks to the reaction between the base and the hardener, ensuring excellent in-depth cohesion.

  • Adapted rheology:
Formulated to guarantee good stability in the screen during printing, even in long production runs, limiting premature drying and clogging.

ADVANTAGES
  • Ready-to-use:
The ink is supplied as a ready-to-mix base with hardener. It requires no complex adjustments for immediate use in the workshop.

  • Overprint compatibility:
Once dry, this ink is ideal for :

    • conventional offset inks for printing graphics and security elements,

    • UV inks from the Evocard range, for additional gloss or textured effects.

  • Laminable:
Thanks to its excellent thermal and chemical resistance, the ink withstands high-temperature lamination, which is often used to assemble the different layers of a card.

  • Embossable:
The ink retains its suppleness and adhesion even after embossing. It withstands localized deformation without cracking or loss of color.

  • Printability:
Its stability on the screen ensures even inking, good screen fineness, and excellent rendering of both solids and fine details.

Supports

  • Rigid PVC:
Excellent adhesion on all types of rigid PVC, even treated. Ideal for manufacturing rigid plastic cards, with or without protective varnish.

  • PVC film:
Also suitable for printing on overlay films used in multilayer structures. Allowsintegration of marketing or technical graphics under the top layer, protected by lamination.
